George Thomas Hankins, a former Gloucester player, is an integral member of Hornchurch Cricket Club’s 1st XI and has been a major part of their success since joining in 2022.

A destructive and classy batter, George has scored almost 4000 runs for the club, including two double centuries. His sublime 84 against Barnt Green in the National T20 final will go down as one of the best Hornchurch Cricket Club innings on what was one of their greatest days.

“Hanko”, as George is known to his teammates and fans across the country, occasionally turns his arm over and has also taken almost 100 wickets for the club. He also hit the winning runs in Hornchurch Cricket Club’s European Cricket League win – his massive 6 in the final sealing the victory over Jersey’s Old Victorians on a memorable night in Spain.
